Spencer Needs Help!
Spencer came to live with Traci H. when he was just 8 weeks old. Since then, the two have thoroughly enjoyed life together, whether they're hanging out at home, going exploring at the beach, or hiking in the mountains. "I really can't imagine what I'll do when he's no longer by my side," Traci says.
This inseparable duo needs your help to keep Spencer around for as long as possible.
Recently, the pup was diagnosed with cancer in one of his rear legs. Although Traci was able to cover the cost of the necessary amputation, she doesn't have enough to pay for the recommended chemotherapy he needs to treat any possible spread of the cancer--beyond the leg--to other parts of his body.
Veterinarians at UF Veterinary Hospital are confident that with chemotherapy, this will greatly slow the progression of the cancer, so Spencer can continue to lead a normal life. Because he is otherwise healthy and has already adjusted well to life on three legs, he only needs to overcome this obstacle.
"Spencer is so much more than a pet to me," says Traci, "I know my dog, and this is not how his story ends. He's a fighter and I'm going to fight alongside him. I refuse to let him be defeated without giving him the chance to live life to the very fullest."
We are excited and grateful to announce Eli's Fund’s generous contribution to match your donation to this pet in need! No one deserves to be without their four-legged loved ones this holiday season. Double your donation with one click.*
The Waggle Foundation seeks to ensure that the lives of pets are not cut short because a pet guardian is without the necessary funds to cover the cost of medical treatment, and works in partnership with the general public, media, influencers and brands to raise critical funding and awareness.
Our mission is to eradicate the economic euthanasia of pets who might otherwise live out their natural lives, sharing cherished time with their beloved families. The Foundation works to grow a community of like-minded people and organizations devoted to this goal; helps nonprofits to participate in concert; provides direct financial support for veterinary care; and works to inspire and educate responsible pet parents to circumvent this tragic outcome.
*Waggle completes due diligence on every pet requesting support and only distributes funds directly to approved veterinarians. At Waggle, your philanthropy is safe and secure.
100% of your donation is provided as a charitable gift to the Waggle Foundation. We pay the credit card transaction fee, so every cent of your donation goes to charity.
